Help can come from all sorts of people in our communities. For Julio, that help and support came from his mom. When he felt like everyone else in his life wasn't able to be there for him, his mother was always present. Her support gave Julio the strength he needed to put the work in on himself in his recovery from substance use disorder (SUD).
Julio's strength has helped him become the best version of himself. He discovered a passion for running and training. He also found he could offer support to people in his life, just like his mom did for him. "Any day that you need me, I'll be there for you," Julio says. He's on his healing journey, pushing forward with confidence, just like he does on his runs.
