Yerson Gets Honest About Overdose

Carrying naloxone—aka Narcan—is a commitment to saving lives!

In a world where every second counts, this small tool can make a monumental difference.

1. Assess the Situation: Ensure your safety and call for emergency help immediately.

2. Locate Nasal Spray: Naloxone typically comes in a nasal spray. Find the spray device.

3. Position the Person: Lay the individual on their back. Tilt their head backward.

4. Administer Naloxone: Insert the tip of the spray device into one nostril until your fingers touch the person's nose. Press the plunger firmly to release the dose.

5. Repeat if Needed: If there's no response after 2-3 minutes, administer another dose in the opposite nostril.

6. Stay Until Help Arrives: Remain with the person until emergency responders arrive.

Remember, naloxone is a temporary solution. Professional medical assistance is crucial for the person's overall well-being. Always call for help.
