Obinna Teaches Positive Self Talk

Today, Obinna's smile can light up a room but for years he had a hard time navigating the challenges of dealing with his depression and substance use disorder (SUD).




Now, Obinna has many tools for how to cope, including positive self talk. Obinna's figured out the tools that help him manage his mental health best. Deep breathing, reading books, and medication are all part of what helps him stay grounded. Connection's important, too. "I actually call my friends. We have a group chat where everyone’s like, 'Good morning, family,' and we just keep in touch."
